James Plimpton's 1863 patent (US37,305) gave roller skates a rocker: wheels on rubber-cushioned pivots, so a skater could lean to turn instead of rolling in a straight line. That single change made skating a pleasure and set off a roller-rink craze.
Printed on 200 gsm uncoated fine-art paper using pigment inks. Framed prints use a wood frame in your chosen color finish; canvas prints are stretched on a slim FSC-certified wood frame. Made to order; no off-the-shelf stock.
